In honor of this year's bottle release of our 2013 vintage, we would like to share with you a bit about our beloved wine.
Fenikia wine is inspired by the craftsmanship of some of the worlds oldest wine makers and our ancestors that give it its name, the Phoenicians. Traders and explorers they managed to transport their knowledge and culture every where they went.
High in the mountains of Suweida City, our vines were planted at an altitude of 1700 meters on a clay and limestone soils. They experience intense cold winters and cool summers. During the winter, long lasting white beds of snow cover the vineyard most of the year, along with the heavy rain fall, it irrigates our vines naturally. Once the summer months arrive,
The grapes mature to reach their full ripeness slowly as the cool breeze extends the harvest dates of the grapes compared with other vines in the region.
This distinct climate gives our grapes the desired characteristics, the optimum sweetness, acidity and complex flavors, to make a very special wine.
We wish you a beautiful fall season, and hope that you can sit back, and cozy up with a wonderful bottle of Fenikia as you take in the aromas of dark oak and the Mediterranean breeze.
